Swiss broker Simply Jet has named Francesco Barsotti as director of its Zurich branch and Philipp Jarnoth has been promoted to flight operations director.

With more than 15 years of aviation experience, Francesco Barsotti brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role. His career began in 2008 with flight training in Italy and the United States, followed by roles in flight instruction, operational control and commercial aviation. Over the course of his career, Francesco has accumulated more than 2,500 flight hours and gained valuable expertise in pilot recruitment and training.
Since joining Simply Jet's Lausanne office as a charter sales executive, Francesco quickly advanced to senior charter sales executive, showcasing his operational expertise and strong client-focused approach. As director of the Zurich Branch, he will lead efforts to strengthen operational efficiency in the region, drive business growth and foster collaboration within the team.
Philipp Jarnoth's aviation career includes leadership roles in operations and strategic planning. After completing his commercial pilot training in Canada and the UK, he gained experience as a flight dispatcher and operations control centre supervisor. Philipp joined Simply Jet in 2020, where he applies his expertise to optimise operations and support the company's growth.
At Simply Jet, Jarnoth successfully established and led the operations department as flight operations manager. His contributions include optimising workflows, ensuring regulatory compliance and upholding the highest safety standards. In his new position, he will oversee the strategic growth of flight operations while expanding the company's aircraft sales, acquisition activities and management services.
